ROCKFORD, IL — At its recent board meeting, the Board of Directors of The Blazer Foundation approved grant requests totaling over $150,000. Agencies that received grants at this grant cycle included: Gigi’s Playhouse, Illinois Growth Enterprises, Walter Lawson’s Children’s Home, Intersect for Ability and the Visiting Nurses Association.
“Our mission continues to be to help people in our community who are disabled. We are pleased to be able to support a wide range of local organizations in this grant cycle,” stated Board Member Mark Blazer, son of the Foundation’s founder.
The Blazer Foundation is a private philanthropic foundation established by Cedric Blazer in 1986. Its mission is to support local initiatives in research and development as well as programs designed to directly support those individuals with disabilities.
