ROCKFORD, IL — At its board meeting last month, the Board of Directors of The Blazer Foundation approved grant requests totaling over $160,000. Agencies that received grants at this grant cycle included: Barbara Olson Center of Hope, Discovery Center Museum, Fish-abled Foundation, Milestone, RAMP, Rockford Park District’s Therapeutic Recreation Program and Special Olympics.
“We are pleased to be able to support such worthwhile local organizations who are working so hard to help people in our community who are disabled,” stated Board Member Mark Blazer, son of the Foundation’s founder.
The Blazer Foundation is a private philanthropic foundation established by Cedric Blazer in 1986. Its mission is to support local initiatives in research and development as well as programs designed to directly support those individuals with disabilities.
